The United States Consumer Products Safety Commission estimates that the likelihood of having an electrical related fire is 55 times higher with a house wired with aluminum wiring, than one wired with copper wire.
We salvaged these three outlets from different customer homes.
Each outlet is a result of aluminum wire failing at the connection screws.
Note that even the 'white' neutral has charing on the upper right outlet.
Unfortunately, not all failing aluminum wired connections provide such easily detected warning signs, as they can fail without any prior indications or problems.

We will also coordinate the inspection by the local utility company.

We use Square D QO brand copper buss bar panels with a LIFETIME WARRANTY.

The initial consultation was a good overview of what CurrentSAFE is and how the process will be done, what the report will look like and what I received.
The actual EHD inspection was very thorough, and Teddy clearly explained what he was finding and reviewed the report in detail at the end.
The report provides useful record of the current state of my electrical, and a guide to repairs both absolutely needed and optional.
Presumably will be helpful in the future.
All personnel, Mike, Teddy and Larry were professional, personable, willing to answer questions.
CurrentSAFE is the test we perform on homes after lightning strikes, electrical surges, and overall electrical hazard detection.
We have come across many lightning strikes that have exploded electrical equipment off the walls of homes, and that same power surge that damages electronics also damages the wiring in the walls.
Cooper Electric's CurrentSAFE, is an electrical hazard detection service that finds and eliminates electrical hazards.
Concealed damage from lightning strikes and surges to your electrical system can be detected with CurrentSAFE instruments.
