Allen Patnode, owner of Patnode Electric, started his business in 1988.
Growing up, Allen learned the value of hard work first hand as he watched his father doing carpentry, roofing, and siding work as a self-employed contractor.
In 1983, he graduated from Windham Regional Vocational Technical School as an electrician.
Knowing what he wanted to do even before graduating, he was creating his own business card designs and laying out his vision for the future.
In 1986, he took and passed his E-2 Journeyman Electrician's test as an apprentice.
There are many reasons to hire an electrician when handling the various electrical needs of your home.
You may find yourself at the start of a large project such as building a new house, or undergoing a renovation in an older home that requires electrical updating.
You may even find yourself needing assistance with circuit breaker rewiring or something that you just do not have the time or expertise to take on.
With Patnode Electric, you can be sure we have the most highly trained staff needed to work on any project in your home -- no project is too large or too small; we do it all!
Power outages for any length of time are capable of devastating a business.
The best way to combat this risk is to be prepared.
Our experienced electricians can be there to help isolate the cause of your outage and get you back online as quickly as possible.
We can also help you prepare by wiring your business for and installing a generator.
Whether you are going green to help the environment, appeal to your customers, save money, or a little of each, our staff can seamlessly transition you to LED and other green technology.
There are countless scenarios where a generator might come in handy -- bad weather, grid overloads, fallen trees, and accidents to name a few.
While Connecticut may not experience many hurricanes or tornadoes, power outages can happen for something as simple as the overuse of air conditioning units on the same neighborhood power grid.
Being prepared with a generator ahead of time is the best way you can be prepared against a blackout or brownout and the professionals at Patnode Electric are here to serve you.
A reliable heater is essential for staying comfortable throughout the winter.
Unfortunately, sometimes electric space heaters will trip your circuit breaker, leaving you temporarily without either heat or power.
If you've noticed this happening in your home, find out what the problem could be and how to resolve it in the guide below.
Electricity is an essential utility in the home.
Without it, you wouldn't be able to power appliances and equipment, like refrigerators, TVs, home computers, and more.
