We established our business, Culp Electric, Inc., in 1992 out of our home, we grew out of that site within a year and moved to our now current location in 1993 and have been located at the same address since that time. We are licensed and insured to do business in the Sate of Michigan. It makes us proud to say, we are serving some of the same customers today since we started our business 28 years ago.

We stand behind our work with pride and integrity, serving and maintaining all of your electrical needs. Many of our customers have become our friends and their friends have become our new customers, with pride we can say our company was built on customer referrals.

The first ceiling fan appeared in the early 1860's and at that time they were not powered by an electric motor but powered by a stream of running water in conjunction with a turbine to drive a system of belts which would turn the 2-blade fans.
During the energy crisis of the 70's, ceiling fans were ever increasing in popularity due to the economics of the time.
Are you looking for an economical package that will give you the security of never being dark without the larger dollar cost of a standby, than a portable generator system is the option you are looking for.
Looking for the security of a generator that starts/stops on its own, transfers power for you automatically, no setting up your portable generator and having to put gas in on a regular basis, then a standby whole house generator is your option.
Portable generators are a good functioning appliance each home could benefit from owning, if you live in an area where power outages are frequent, it could be considered a necessity.
Portable generators are movable and designed for shorter periods of time than standby generators.
Without electricity, food will spoil in your refrigerator/freezer, your pipes will freeze without heat, basements can flood and most importantly, your security lighting and security systems will go out.
We rely on electricity to maintain our homes, in-home businesses and lifestyles.
