Jim Plummer moved to the Black Hills in 1975 from the Iowa family farm where he worked tuning and repairing pianos for Plummer Piano in Rapid City.
In 1977 Jim stepped foot into the electrical contracting industry when he became an apprentice for Mark Whiting at Whiting Electric, who was in business for 40 years in the Rapid City area.
After four years of on-the-job training with Whiting Electric, Jim spent two years working on commercial jobs for Gadsden Electric in Spearfish, SD.
Contractor's License in 1982 and Master Electrician certification in 1983.
