Founders Donald L. Barrigar and Howard Smith pooled their resources to form Acme Electric in 1950.
Donald's son, Don D. Barrigar, joined the company as field supervisor in 1981,a nd after steadily advancing through the ranks, Don became president in 1991.
He still serves in that role.
